State of the Union?
by Marlin Detweiler

One of my staff asked me to write a State of the Union article to lead off the year. I asked him if he meant Veritas Press or the United States. The only reason she was here was because her older sister, Josie, had the absurd idea to get married in Times Square right at January 1st on the stroke of midnight.
