Summer Reading Contest Winners
We're so proud of all those who participated in our Summer Reading Contest; what a great response! As promised, we held a drawing from all the submissions, and the winners are named below. All participants are richer for having read good books. The following are also richer because they won a gift certificate:

$150    Gwynne Kramer         West Orange, N.J.
$100    Rachael Long             Gulfport, Miss.
$70      Lydia Dowdell            Virginia Beach, Va.

From Our Friends at New College - Prospective Student Weekend! October 26-28
High school juniors and seniors from across the country are invited to join us at our Prospective Student Weekend (which corresponds with our annual "Pumpkinfest").

This year’s activities include a collegium seminar with Dr. George Grant, a bonfire with Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, sample classroom experiences, lunch, Q&A sessions, a walking tour of Franklin and other events. We encourage students and families to spend time in the community by staying for church on Sunday at Cornerstone Pres. and/or Parish Pres. and to experience a typical day of classes at the college on Monday.

There are some limited spaces for prospective students to stay with current students and their host families.

For more information visit the New College website.
